The large Santos de Cartier is an Amazing watch. I prefer the white dial, so clean, classy, and more more versatile. I went with the Large 2 tone version, but also aquired a stainless bezel for it. My watch maker easily swapped the gold bezel with the stainless bezel in a few minutes. It is like owning 2 different models. The stainless bezel looks great with the blue strap, regardless if it's combined with the blue or white dial versions. When Cartier created the Santos de Cartier, it made a watch, which Is an iconic classic yet modern and sleek at the same time. As a result, my Rolexes are getting significantly less wrist these days. Cheers and wearvthem in goid health.

Method 3 is the best but then the question is, what is the point in having a NATO strap in the first place ? In method 3 the additional "branch" is completely pointless. You could remove it and it would only make the strap better in every possible way.

I've had my Sapphire Speedmaster 3861 for a couple of months now. Previously I had the first Speedy Sapphire Sandwich with the 1863 movement which I got used around 16 years ago. It had the now changed "First and only watch worn on the moon" inscription on the back (after it was discovered that during the Apollo 15 mission, Dave Scott, on his final moon walk had to use his backup Bulova prototype when his Speedmaster's crystal popped off). Lovely watch but the lack of hacking and the fact that it ran to or exceeded its +11 seconds a day rating despite being serviced led me to consider the new 2021 model. As far as I'm concerned, there's no comparison. The new model hacks and mine is running at +1 second/day. The new bracelet with its taper to 15mm, lies flat on my wrist and makes the watch itself wear smaller than its 42mm size. I also wear it on an Artem sailcloth strap and it looks great on it as well. To top it off, I sold my older Speedy to bring what I paid for the new one significantly down and made it a bit of a bargain.

I have tried FKM, Leather, Tropical and Natos. I am in love with Natos as they will not let go of the watch if a spring bar fails, extremely lightweight, dry faster and simply it takes a a minute or two to change into a new strap. My favorite is method 1 as the method 3 is a bit uncomfortable for me. Thank you

How sad and shocking. I used to spend a lot of time in Zürich in the ‘80’s. Walked into many shops on Bahnhofstrasse and came out with exactly the watch I wanted, 2 Datejust, 1 stainless and 1 stainless and gold, IWC Ingenieur, Cartier and Omega dress watches. I remember an Arab gentleman at the viewing table next to me at Rolex asking if there were volume discounts. The attendant told him politely, “The House of Rolex does not offer discounts.” Now, it seems, they do not even offer watches.
